After picking up our clients at your Hotel / Accommodation we will travel along the south coast of the island of São Miguel, where we will make some stops along the coast, with a fishing port before we reach Vila Franca do Campo, where we will highlight to the viewpoint of the hermitage of NS da Paz, there you can see Vila Franca do Campo, its Islet and sometimes the island of Sta Maria.
Around 12:00 we will be near the Furnas lagoon, to enjoy its surrounding landscape, as well as its boilers and fumaroles that are next to the Furnas lagoon, but also to watch the withdrawal of the famous Cozido das Furnas, which is made in volcanic soil at high temperatures, where most of the local restaurants make this delicacy, being our suggestion for your lunch.
In the same way and before we go to the restaurant we will explore this quiet locality a little and know another place rich in boilers, fumaroles and springs of hot water and mineral water.
When we left Furnas, we traveled to Povoação, where the settlement of the island of São Miguel began, and along our route until we reached the Northeast we made stops at different viewpoints and parks, where it is possible to see the seafront of the island in this area of the island of São Miguel.
After seeing, exploring and getting to know this picturesque village of the island of São Miguel (Northeast) we go towards the Ribeira dos Caldeirões Park a point of great tourist interest, which is not only due to the beautiful waterfall in this place, but also to its dazzling park and water mills where formerly the population was going to grind their corn, to obtain flour and bread, as well as to observe some endemic plants.
On the north coast you can find the tea plantations, where we will take a guided tour in one of the existing tea factories on the island of São Miguel, where we explain and let you know the whole history and the whole process of the elaboration of the tea that is produced in the factory and you can enjoy a cup of tea (green or black) from this factory.
